What is NAPLAN?

The government's NAPLAN practice tests assesses students' literacy and numeracy abilities in primary and secondary schools.

Students are evaluated every two years in Years 3, 5, 7, and 9.

The government started the program because literacy and numeracy assessments are necessary to improve these skills and serve as a crucial foundation for future learning and the employment market.

Over three days, several tests are administered, each of which focuses on a different set of skills, including reading, writing, spelling, grammar, and numeracy.

Each test's subject matter is derived from the Australian Curriculum for English and Mathematics.

In 2022, NAPLAN replaced paper tests with an online assessment system.

How should I get ready for NAPLAN Online?

Online practice test for NAPLAN

One NAPLAN practice test has been developed by ACARA (The Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority) for each year's level's topic.

Students should use these exams as preparation for the actual exam. These tests are available on their open demonstration site, and we advise all students to get acquainted with the online exam before taking it.

This covers the methods for choosing responses, question formats, on-screen tools, timers, and interactive navigation.

We don't want students to perform poorly due to wasting precious time figuring out the exam.

When are the NAPLAN tests held?

NAPLAN tests are held every year in the month of May. Testing Window: 10 – 20 May 2023
